Fun? What is that? I read an article about the importance of doing fun things, like playing fetch with Fido. In this piece it said that things like stress and pain can even be reduced by playing. Yet, I sit here looking at this mess of a house and think of all the work that needs doing. I think of the construction that has taken place over the past three years of ownership. Funny, things don't seem a whole lot better than when we started, or should I say---when he decided to start. There are too many unfinished projects to count. There is the bathroom half done, the fountain outside with dirt and rocks everywhere...in disarray since before winter, the walls still need repainted in spots, hell too many things for me to even mention cross my warped mind.
So it is no wonder that I too have fallen into disrepair. Just try keeping a clean house with constant construction to nowhere coming through each week. Right now my main source of comfort are my dog and cat. If I say something about this mess to my husband, he takes offence. Makes apartment living with a landlord there to fix things seem like a slice of heaven. A shame this is how we live in this overpriced home that may just be my demise.
